Profile & Settings

Your profile is your identity on Latimer. Customize it to showcase your skills, connect with other developers, and manage your account settings.

Viewing Your Profile

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top navigation
  2. Or visit your profile from the dashboard
  3. See your profile information, activity, and contributions

Profile Information

Your profile displays:

  • Username: Your unique identifier
  • Display Name: Your preferred name
  • Bio: A brief description about yourself
  • Avatar: Your profile picture (synced from GitHub)
  • GitHub Profile: Link to your GitHub account
  • Level & XP: Your current level and experience points
  • Badges: Achievements you've earned

Editing Your Profile

  1. Click "Edit Profile" on your profile page
  2. Update your information:
    • Display name
    • Bio/description
    • Profile visibility settings
  3. Click "Save Changes"

GitHub Integration

Your profile automatically syncs with GitHub:

  • Profile picture from GitHub
  • Bio from GitHub
  • Repository information
  • Programming languages you use
  • GitHub activity

  • See your recent activity

  • Profile Visibility: Control who can see your profile
  • Activity Feed: Choose what appears in your feed
  • Message Permissions: Control who can message you
  • Follow Requests: Approve or deny follow requests (if enabled)
